Public Policies, Institutions and Innovation – PI2

About

The PI2 (Public Policy, Institutions and Innovation) Research Group brings together political scientists, planning and sustainable development specialists, urbanists and other scholars from across the social sciences. It is this disciplinary diversity that enables us to better understand how decision-making processes unfold in the public sector across multiple territorial scales – from the neighbourhood to supranational bodies such as the European Union, with local and national governments in between.  Two defining features distinguish our research group: a central focus on territory and context (place-based policy & governance), and a commitment to using data and producing insights that inform public decision-makers (evidence-based policy & governance).
