For Master's Students
According to the GOVCOPP Membership Regulation, master’s students are eligible to join GOVCOPP if they are enrolled in a master’s program at the University of Aveiro and are supervised by a GOVCOPP' full researcher. To request membership, the master’s student must complete the form provided at the link below:
For PhD Students
According to the GOVCOPP Membership Regulation, PhD students are eligible to join GOVCOPP if enrolled in a national PhD program and supervised by a GOVCOPP' full researcher. To request membership, the PhD student must complete the form provided below:

IMPORTANT: All GOVCOPP students must confirm annually that they are enrolled as students or that they have submitted the dissertation for defence. The proof of registration/renewal or dissertation submission must be sent until 30th November of each calendar year.
Logos and Affiliation Rules
In the affiliation of authors in all articles and other publications, a mention must be made of GOVCOPP as follows:
"Author, GOVCOPP, organic unit of the higher education institution, higher education institution."
Example: "Anabela Botelho, GOVCOPP, DEGEIT, University of Aveiro."
Whenever there is financial support from GOVCOPP for an activity that results in a thesis, article, presentation of a poster, or communication, the following text must be included:
- This work was financially supported by UID/04058 - Research Unit on Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies, financed by national funds through FCT - Foundation for Science and Technology.
Whenever there is financial support from the GOVCOPP for an activity that results in a communication, poster, report, or other printed material, the logos of the Portuguese Republic, Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), and GOVCOPP must be included. These are linked below:

GOVCOPP Membership in International Networks
As part of GOVCOPP internationalisation strategy, the research unit integrates a set of highly relevant transnational research networks. GOVCOPP membership in these organisations provides its members with several advantages such as funding opportunities and discounts regarding event registration fee.
