Ana Margarida Ferreira da Silva is a researcher at ATT 2 Experience 5.0 – How to create a new framework to manage tourism destinations, part of a larger ATT project: Agenda to Accelerate and Transform Tourism at the University of Aveiro and a member of the Tourism and Development research group in GOVCOPP (Research Unit in Governance and Competitiveness and Public Policies) at the University of Aveiro. She holds a PhD in tourism and a master’s degree in regional planning, both from the University of Aveiro. Her bachelor’s degree is in marketing management from the Portuguese Institute of Administration and Marketing (IPAM). She is also a member of the National Platform for Tourism in the Culture, Heritage and Creativity think tank. Over the past few years, she has been working on studies on heritage, local communities and destination image with other universities (European and African). She has participated in several research projects related to her research interests, namely coastal and maritime cultural heritage, sustainable tourism, heritage tourism and destination image.
