
Zélia Breda holds a PhD in Tourism, a Master's degree in Chinese Studies with a specialization in Business and International Relations, and a Licenciatura (5-year degree) in Tourism Management and Planning from the University of Aveiro, where she is a tenured Assistant Professor. She currently serves as the Vice-Director of the PhD Program in Tourism and is a full member of the Research Unit "Governance, Competitiveness, and Public Policies." In addition to her academic roles, she is a senior consultant at Idtour, a company focused on tourism research and development. She is also actively involved in the academic community, serving on the editorial and scientific boards of several national and international academic journals, as well as participating in the organizing and scientific committees of various international tourism conferences. Her research expertise is reflected in her extensive scholarly output, which includes authoring and co-authoring numerous national and international publications and communications in the field of tourism. Moreover, she has played a key role in multiple tourism research projects, contributing as both a team member and a consultant.
