Intellectual capital and billionaires – an empirical study

In this paper we analyse the wealth of billionaires as a factor of Intellectual Capital (IC). The study is empirical. As a theoretical background we use the concept of IC as described in most commonly known studies, as comprising Human (competences), Social (brands) and Relational Capital (routines). In the empirical study we analyse the wealth of the 100 richest persons in 2015 according to the Forbes magazine. We conclude that IC explains not only the variability of wealth among those individuals but also and fundamentally the evolution of that wealth.
