Inês Carvalho is a lecturer at Universidade Europeia in Lisbon, an Integrated Member of CETRAD - Center for Transdisciplinary Development Studies, and a Collaborator at GOVCOPP – Research Unit for Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies (University of Aveiro). Currently, she is the Research Coordinator at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Technology at Universidade Europeia (Lisbon). She holds a PhD in Tourism from the University of Aveiro in Portugal. She was a visiting scholar at the Unit of Gender Studies at Linköping University in Sweden. Inês worked as a research assistant and researcher in two projects on gender and tourism funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology, the Portuguese national funding agency for science, research and technology. She also holds a BSc in Modern Languages and Literatures – English and German Literature from the University of Coimbra (Portugal) and an MSc in Management and Planning in Tourism from the University of Aveiro. Inês is currently pursuing a PhD in Management at ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics. Her research interests include gender, tourism organisations, cultural tourism, literary tourism, language tourism, and the use of large language models in tourism.
