Ana Gomes is a doctorate student in tourism (University of Aveiro), on an FCT grant since 2023. She holds a degree in tourism management and planning from the University of Aveiro (2018), and a master’s in tourism management and planning from the University of Aveiro (2021). Her master thesis focused on accessible rural tourism, achieving a finalist position on the 2022 Academic Thesis Contest by Turismo do Centro. Ana has also been a part of several research projects within the realm of accessible tourism, social, economic and territorial development and tourism impacts.

Her current research interests and PhD areas of study include circular tourism, accessible tourism, rural tourism, and consumer behaviour in tourism.
