The project EPHEMERAL – Entrepreneurship and Place: How Entrepreneurs Manage Evolving Relationships Across the Life-cycle is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network (MSCA-DN) (https://www.sdu.dk/clf/ephemeral). Funded by Horizon Europe, it aims to train a new generation of researchers capable of fostering sustainable rural development across Europe.
Selected among the 36 consortia funded in Portugal, the EPHEMERAL project seeks to understand how entrepreneurs shape and transform rural territories over time, considering dynamics associated with life cycles, contextual and territorial transformations, and broader global social and economic changes.
The project aims to train researchers who can act as agents of transformation within and for European rural areas by developing a new, multi-level and longitudinal approach to rural entrepreneurship. Structured around nine research questions, EPHEMERAL will enable doctoral candidates to develop new theoretical, practical, and policy-oriented perspectives on entrepreneurship and territorial development.
