Cláudia holds a Habilitation in Management – Finance, a European PhD in Social Sciences – Economics and Management (Very Good cum laude), a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from the University of Salamanca (distinguished with the Extraordinary Award), and an undergraduate degree in Management from ISEG – University of Lisbon. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Aveiro – Águeda School of Technology and Management, where she has taught several courses in management (marketing and finance) at both undergraduate and master’s levels. She is currently an Invited Associate Professor at Universidade Aberta, where she teaches on the undergraduate and master’s programmes in Management. Cláudia previously served as a Member of the Board of the Centro Hospitalar do Nordeste (ULSNE) and as Advisor to the Portuguese Ministry of Health and to the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion for Regional Development until 2024. She is a full member of the GOVCOPP research unit and a collaborating researcher at the Centre for Global Studies. Her current research interests include Management, Tourism Research, Innovation, Marketing, Corporate and Sustainable Social Responsibility, Finance and Quality Assurance in Higher Education. Cláudia has participated in five international R&D projects and has supervised several master’s and doctoral theses. She has authored or co-authored over one hundred publications in peer-reviewed journals, books, book chapters and conference proceedings, has presented numerous papers at international scientific conferences, and has been distinguished with seven scientific awards and other honourable distinctions. She also serves on organising and scientific committees of international conferences and collaborates as a reviewer for several academic journals.
