Competition for a position as Principal Investigator in the scientific area of Public Policy (GOVCOPP)

  An international public competition is opened, for the recruitment of 1 (one) position as Principal Investigator in the scientific area of Social Sciences and Political Science, subarea of Public Policies, under an indefinite employment contract.


Who can apply?

Given the multidisciplinary nature of GOVCOPP, the position is open to candidates with a PhD in a set of areas that are articulated with place-based policy and governance, such as Social Sciences and Political Sciences, sub-area of Public Policy, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Management, Regional and Urban Planning or Tourism. Applications must demonstrate:

  • A strong track record of research in place-based policy and governance
  • A strong publication track record
  • Experience in leading high-level research projects
  • Skills in relevant research methodologies
  • Ability to interact with stakeholders from various sectors
  • A good understanding of the challenges and opportunities inherent to placebased policy and governance
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to developing multidisciplinary and innovative solutions.
