SCOPE : The New Observatory for Smart Territories at the University of Aveiro

  SCOPE - Smart City Observatory for Planning and Engagement is a new initiative dedicated to supporting technical and political decision-making aimed at developing smart, inclusive and sustainable territories. The observatory gathers a multidisciplinary team of researchers and lecturers from the University of Aveiro in order to promote: (1) the development of data-driven public policies adapted to local realities; (2) the consolidation of a territorial data repository with standardised evaluation methods; (3) the production of technical and scientific knowledge on smart territories; (4) training and capacity-building actions aimed at public managers, municipal technicians and local leaders.
