University of Aveiro signs Memorandum of Understanding with the London School of Economics and Political Science

 The University of Aveiro (UA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), through its research center, LSE Cities. This agreement aims to strengthen international cooperation between the two institutions in the areas of research, teaching, consulting, and scientific dissemination, thereby promoting the Development of high-quality, joint projects with a global impact. . 

 The collaboration will be conducted between two research centers with complementary interests and skills — GOVCOPP (UA) and LSE Cities (LSE) —, enhancing synergies in the areas of governance, urban policies, sustainability, and territorial innovation. The Memorandum provides for the exchange of teachers and researchers; the joint organization of seminars, conferences, and scientific events; the development and implementation of collaborative research projects and proposals; and other activities of common interest in the field of science and education. 

  Signed in October 2025, the agreement will have an initial duration of two years and may be renewed by mutual agreement between the institutions. With this partnership, the University of Aveiro reinforces its commitment to internationalization, scientific cooperation, and the social impact of research.
