Eva Milheiro is teaching at Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre (IPP) – High School of Education and Social Sciences- since 2000.
She performed the functions of Course Director of Tourism and Chairman of the Scientific Area of History, Geography and Heritage. She currently serves as deputy coordinator of the Department of Social Sciences, Territory and Development and Chair of the Pedagogical Council.
She graduated in Tourism Management and Planning, Master of Information Management, Post-graduate degree in Geographic Information Systems in Tourism and doctorate in Tourism (PhD Thesis still in progress).
She was involved in several research projects, in particular the Regional Tourism Observatory of Alentejo, being responsible for the technical and scientific team of the IPP. She was member of the ORTE project (sponsored by FCT) research team of the University of Aveiro in the fields of Rural Tourism and Sustainable Development.
She has published 3 books and several articles about tourism in national and international journals/magazines.
She is a researcher of VALORIZA (Instituto Politécnico de Portalegre) and GOVCOPP (UA).
