Ana Maria Caldeira is Assistant Professor of Tourism at the University of Coimbra (in Portugal), after having lectured for 11 years at the University of Aveiro. Researcher at the CEGOT – Centre of Studies on Geography and Spatial Planning and at the GOVCOPP – Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policy research units, she has also been coordinator professor and director of BSc Tourism Management at ISLA – Santarém. She holds a degree in International Relations (ISCSP – University of Lisbon), a Master and a PhD in Tourism (University of Aveiro). Her research interests are tourist spatial behaviour, attractions and visitor management, urban tourism and consumer behaviour in tourism.
