Anabela Rodrigues Santiago has a PhD in Public Policies from the Department of Social, Political and Territorial Sciences from University of Aveiro. Currently, she is integrated researcher at Centro de Estudos Internacionais (CEI) from Iscte- IUL and external researcher at GOVCOPP Research Unit from University of Aveiro.
Member of COST Action 24169: "Science in Diplomacy Network: implementing multilateral policymaking in intersectoral, crossdisciplinary & strategic domains” (SiDnet).
Visiting Scholar of University of Macau, Faculty of Social Sciences ( Nov. and Dec. 2025).
She has participated in several scientific projects including a scientific mission to map Chinese investments in the agri-food sector under COST Action 18215 - China and Europe Relations Network and CHERN Training School: China Scholarship and Policy Advice: Reaching (out to) Decision Makers on China. Author of several articles and book chapters on global health governance.
Her research activity has involved health governance, health diplomacy, and particularly, Chinese health strategy towards global health governance.
