Susana Mesquita holds a PhD in Tourism and a specialist degree in the Area of Education and Training in Tourism and Leisure by IPP-Instituto Politécnico do Porto, a Degree in Tourism Management and Planning from ISAG - Instituto Superior de Administração, and a Master’s degree in Tourism Management and Development from the University of Aveiro. Susana is a researcher at the Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies (GOVCOPP) research unit at the University of Aveiro, and at Research Center in Business Sciences and Tourism (CICET-FCVC). She is a Professor at ISAG – European Business School, and in other private and public entities such as Turismo de Portugal. Susana has published book chapters and papers in international scientific peer-reviewed journals. Her research interests include accessible tourism, people with sensory impairments, consumer behaviour in tourism, co-creation of experiences and experience economy. In addition to her teaching activity, Susana is an Official Tour Guide and coach in Tourism. She has also worked on various events in different areas and intervention activities in the external community.
