Nowadays, on the issue of the sustainability of countries in regards to economic aspects for the regulation of a balance in international trade, the increasing of the exportations volume is not enough. It is also necessary that companies have standards that promote indoor levels of quality, productivity and satisfaction, guaranteeing acceptable work conditions, having the Departments of Medicine, Health and Safety an important role in supporting this methodology. This paper aims to present a study, carried out in a multinational metalworking company, which evaluates the thermal environment of a section characterized by a hot environment in order to enable the reorganization, change or deployment of new equipment, improving the comfort of their occupants. To accomplish this study, values of air temperature (degrees C) and relative humidity RH (%) were recorded in the daytime, having the measurements of the hygrometric variables been made using a pen data acquisition (Easy Log USB). After collected the data, the Temperature Humidity Index (THI) and the diagram of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) were used. Results showed a consistency in the methods applied and suggest its applicability in the industrial context for the adoption of preventive and organizational measures, and/or for the replacement of equipment.
