The book "Planear a Cidade-Região do Futuro" (Planning the City-Region of Tomorrow) gathers knowledge from several domains of scientific research and institutions in an attempt to contribute to rethink theoretical-conceptual frameworks that can foster urban resiliency against the unforeseen efects caused by crisis contexts (now more frequent and lasting)
The 13 chapters in this volume offer different and complementary approaches to planning the city-region of the future, seeing this "entity" as a model on which to base proposals for thinking, explaining and transforming.
Beside the book editors (Carlos Almeida Gonçalves and João Lourenço Marques), other GOVCOPP members - Eduardo Anselmo de Castro, Jan-Hendrik Wolf , Joana Margarida Duarte , José Manuel Martins , Monique Borges and Paulo Batista - have added their contribution to fulfil this volume's objective.
