GOVCOPP joins EURA - European Urban Research Association

      GOVCOPP has joined the European Urban Research Association . EURA is a prestigious association in the field of urban governance research at international level and its research interests are aligned with some of the strategic objectives of the GOVCOPP Research Unit, namely to provide a forum for researchers to share information and results, to encourage interdisciplinary and transnational approaches to research and education, to bridge the gaps between academic, professional and political interests and to improve public debate regarding the quality of urban policy. 

      While only now the bond between both entities has been formalised, GOVCOPP members have come to play important roles within EURA. For instance, Filipe Teles has been elected EURA's president and together with Patrícia Silva integrates the international working group on Municipal Councillors in Europe .
